Description: An interior scene. Two arched windows at right and an oil lamp burning in its wall fixture at upper left. Hamlet at centre, slightly to left, facing left. His left arm is extended to the right against the pillar dividing the windows. His right hand is raised to his right brow. His legs are wide apart and he leans slightly backward. He looks very disturbed. Quotation at foot begins: 'Remember thee! / Ay, thou poor ghost'.
